Ordering & Payments

A transparent process and payment structure help set clear expectations. This FAQ explains how projects move forward, how payments are handled, and what to expect along the way.

How do I order?

Our goal is to make ordering as simple as possible. This being the case, we do not feel that a “shopping cart” mechanic works well for graphic design orders, particularly custom work. We ask for an email with your design inquiry to get started. We will reply with questions and/or a sample design within 2 business days.

Can I call and talk to a real person?

We pride ourselves on great customer service! We aim to be clear, concise and comprehensive in how we respond to your questions. Often that means taking a moment to research an answer and review our response before replying. Please reach out to us via email first with any questions. If your question is not answered though email or on this website, let us know you prefer calling.

Is a deposit required for cover design?

We do not require deposits to begin work on book cover design samples. Once the sample design is approved an invoice will be emailed. Payment should not be made until the payment is received. We cannot bill ahead of time or hold deposits for future work.

Support designs, design rescue, box set design and design packages are billed immediately. In most cases, sample designs are not sent for these items.

What do you charge for cover design services?

We believe in transparent pricing. The majority of our design work is billed a flat rate based on the type of design being ordered. Our book cover design pricing can be found on our pricing page. If we feel a cover design may require additional work or fees we will advise our clients before proceeding.

Boxset/series design and promotional package pricing is on each respective page.

What types of payments do you accept and how do I pay?

Once you have received your invoice, payment may be made securely online via the Quickbooks link in your invoice email or through PayPal. Pay directly from the invoice or send Paypal payment to PayPal.Me. Enter the total due from the emailed invoice into the amount field.

All orders will be charged applicable sales tax based on the client's state regulations.

How long does design take?

Upon payment the invoice finished book cover design work takes 5-7 business days. In total, custom cover design usually takes 2-3 weeks from concept to completion. Orders with multiple series covers may take longer. Most supporting graphics can be done much quicker and within a few business days.

How will I receive my files?

Files will be emailed whenever possible. If the files are too large to email we will create a Dropbox.com online file sharing folder for you. Once created an invitation to this folder will be sent. Dropbox.com offers a free basic plan which can be seen here.
